    2023 Annual Conference

    March 15-17, 2023

    Northern Rockies Heritage Center

Heritage Hall 30 Fort Missoula Rd

    Missoula, Montana 59804

Montana’s museums faced challenges during the pandemic years - but they more than met the occasion and emerged stronger for the experience. Innovative practices across our large and diverse state allowed our institutions to keep up public engagement and prepare for a new wave of interest from visitors eager to enjoy in-person cultural experiences again. With increased attention comes increased responsibility, as museums strive to ensure an ethical approach to their operations and presentations.

Many of us in the field wonder what we can do to start and to support that endeavor - and the Museums Association of Montana is here, as always, to assist. We invite you to join us in Missoula for our first IN PERSON conference since 2019. "Speakeasy: Museum Ethics in Challenging Times" will allow conference attendees to experience the setting of historic Fort Missoula as we explore topics of ethics in collections and policies, educational outreach, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more!

We have reserved a block of rooms at C'mon INN, call to make your reservation.
