Our network of support helps the Museums Association of Montana strengthen museums by fostering professionalism and cooperation. Current MAM membership numbers over 130 individuals representing more than 75 organizations.
Every type of museum is welcome, including art, history, science, military, and children's museums, as well as historic sites, zoos, botanical gardens, arboretums, and observatories.
Every type of person is welcome, including seasoned and emerging professionals, board members, volunteers, students, trade professionals, museum lovers, and all supporters of the Montana museum community.
To keep your membership affordable, levels are priced according to your institutional budget. You may want to choose a different level depending on the number of bundle members you need.
All individual and institutional membership levels have the following benefits.

New memberships initiated any time after March 1 of the current membership year will be prorated, rounded up to the nearest month (excludes Corporate Memberships).
Renewals are due each August. Reminders are emailed 14 days prior to September 1 and payment is due no later than Labor Day. Renewals received after Labor Day will not be pro-rated.
Automatic recurring payments are available for your convenience. Never miss a payment!
MEMBERSHIP MANAGEMENT & BUNDLES
All memberships are managed online, even if you applied with the paper form. Each individual has an online profile that can be accessed with their email address and password of their choice.
The first person to register an organization for a Museum or Corporate level membership automatically becomes the Bundle Coordinator. They are permitted to manage the museum’s membership profile and add/remove other individuals to/from the bundle. New member registrations are applied to existing bundles in the order they are received until the bundle maximum is reached. See level descriptions below for bundle limits.
If you are a Bundle Coordinator, you must also enroll your fellow bundle members. If they are not enrolled, they will not receive membership benefits/discounts. After your initial application is submitted and invoice is paid, you will receive an activation email and can start adding bundle members.
- Log in to our site and and click your name or View Profile.
- Scroll down to the Bundle Summary.
- Click Add Member.
- Search the name of the person you want to add to your bundle and select their profile. If they do not already have a profile, complete an application form for them. Click Save.
- The new bundle member's record now appears. Click the "Return to bundle list and your own profile" link.
- Repeat until all bundle members are added.
Please note that you cannot add someone to your bundle if they are already assigned to another membership.
