More Digitized Montana Newspapers Now Online

The Montana Historical Society is pleased to announce that new content is available to search and browse on the web site www.montananewspapers.org
 
Several newspapers from Thompson Fall, including the SANDERS COUNTY LEDGER, DEMOCRAT, and SIGNAL (1905-24), are online.
 
The FLATHEAD COURIER (Polson) boasts a 70-year run, from 1910 to 1980.
 
From the town of Moore, Montana, you’ll find THE INLAND EMPIRE (1905-15) and THE MOORE INDEPENDENT(1921-31).

Additionally these special editions are now available online.

The GREAT FALLS LEADER ANNUAL of 1890 was designed to be distributed outside of Montana in an effort to attract settlers and investment to the region.
The 1899 souvenir edition of THE BUTTE MINER honored Montana troops who served in the Spanish–American War.
The 84-page GREAT FALLS EVENING LEADER RECLAMATION EDITION (1907) promoted irrigation projects, towns, and industry across north central Montana.
